Han hyo joo "Best Actress for the 34th Blue Dragon Film Awards"

Actress Han Hyo Joo had the honor of receiving the best female actresses award in the 34th annual Blue Dragon Film Awards yesterday.

Han Hyo Joo at the Peace Hall of Kyung Hee University in Seoul received the best female actor award during the Blue Dragon Film Awards for her role in "Cold Eyes."

Movie "Cold Eyes" is a thriller story about a group of professional "cold eyes" who track down gang members without revealing their real identities. In this movie, Han Hyo Joo played a new member, Ha Yoon Joo, who has an extraordinary memory and observation.


Han Hyo Joo seemed little surprised receiving the best female actor award in the 34th annual Blue Dragon Film Awards yesterday, considering the list of names of other actresses that were addressed with Han Hyo Joo's name. Um Jung Hwa, who played a mother who had lost her daughter in movie "Montage," had already received the best female actor award in the Brand Bell Film Awards on November 1, 2013. Moon Jung Hee, who recorded a high number of audiences for her thriller movie, "Hide and Seek," was another rival. Um Ji Won, who voluntarily did not wear any makeup to better play her character in the movie "Wish" was another strong rival.
Han hyo joo was youngest among best actress nominee for 34th blue dragon awards.

However, the Blue Dragon Film Awards picked Han Hyo Joo, who said, "I thought seeing my name nominated for the list of best female actresses award was an honor in and of itself, and I feel so honored to receive this grand award."

At such a young age,she has been the recipient of several best actress awards whice is unprecedented achievement in Korea's entertainment history.


Han Hyo-Joo's first leading performance in a feature film came with the 2006 independent film “Ad Lib Night,” helmed by well-regarded director Lee Yoon-Ki. Her performance was enthusiastically received by critics and Han Hyo-Joo received “Best Actress” awards from the 26th Korean Movie Critics Organization and the 20th Singapore International Film Festival.

Han Hyo-Joo's commercial break-out role came with her performance in the popular 2009 SBS drama series “Brilliant Legacy,” alongside actor/singer Lee Seung-Ki and received several Best TV actress awards.

In 2010, Han Hyo-Joo branched out of her comfort zone and took the lead role in the MBC historical drama series “Dong Yi” and won 47th Baeksang arts awards in 2011.
