Which Korean cosmetic items are most favored by Chinese customers?


Myeong-dong in Seoul is where most of Chinese tourists shop for Korean cosmetics.
As cosmetics have become one of favorite shopping items among Chinese tourists, many cosmetic stores have opened.

Chinese customers are occupying 80% of whole customers of cosmetic stores. So those stores have no choice but to hire employees who can communicate in chinese.
So then what is the most preferred Korean cosmetic items among Chinese tourist?
On 22th, according to industry analysis of sales of major brands shops in the Myeong dong commercial district from January to April this year, THE FACESHOP's 'character masks', Innisfree's 'The Green Tea Seed Serum', Misha's 'M Perfect Cover BB Cream' Etude's "clear pearl Ani cushion and Nature Republic's 'Ginseng Royal silk Watery Cream', are the best selling cosmetic items for each brand.

Korean beauty industry official said, "Chinese prefered prestige(high-priced) cosmetic products which focused on quality than affordable price" "Even though Chinese tourists are drawn to Japan because the weak yen has made products and services there much more affordable this year,  many Chinese customers are still attracted to the quality and brand image of Korean cosmetics."
