Two South Korean Movie Directors who have a wide recognition among Hollywood celebrities

The news that Korean films were invited to the Cannes Film Festival is no longer surprising. At the 70th Cannes Film Festival, which will be held next month, Korean director Bong Joon-ho's "Okja" and Hong Sang-soo's “The Day After” were nominated for the Palme d'Or("Golden Palm")competition.

Some might say that it's just a comment prepared for Korean market but no one can deny that Bong is a proud director of Korea, no matter who it refers to.

Prior to this, Jordan Vogt-Roberts of "Kong: Skull Island" who recently visited Korea said he referred to Bong Joon-ho's "Monster" and Kim Ji-woon's "The Good, the Bad, the Weird" for his film.

Previously, Rising Star Logan Lerman also expressed his respect for Park Chan-wook in an interview with Korean Broadcasting.
